Connect Safepay

Safepay lets customers pay online by card. Payments go into your own Safepay account — we never touch the money and charge no fee on it.

Before you start

You need a Safepay merchant account. You can try everything first with Safepay’s sandbox (test) account.

Connect

  1. In Settings → Payments, add Safepay and choose Test or Live.
  2. In your Safepay dashboard, go to Developers → API and copy the API key and Secret key.
  3. Go to Developers → Endpoints, copy the shared secret and paste it as the webhook secret.
  4. Still in Developers → Endpoints, add the webhook address shown in your admin and subscribe to payment.succeeded and payment.failed.
  5. Save, then use Test connection.

Test and live dashboards have different keys and secrets: set up each one you use.

Refunds

Refund an order from its page in your admin; the refund is sent to Safepay for you.
